District Forester

Responsible for multiple-use management on tax forfeited lands within a forest district. Responsibilities include implementing land management plan and annual prescribed harvest goals for the district; timber sale development and administration; incorporating silvicultural, social and ecological information into forest management prescriptions; forest inventory and stand development; public relations and coordination; forest access road management; wildlife habitat projects, recreational coordination and real estate needs within an assigned district.
