ForestryWorks® is collaborative effort between the Forest Workforce Training Institute and various partners within the forest industry to develop a pipeline of qualified workers for the nation’s forestry and forest products manufacturing industries. We educate students, parents, and teachers about career opportunities in the forest industry while providing pathways for students and job seekers to start their future career in the industry.

Forest Workforce Training Institute was formed in 2018 to address the workforce development concerns of forestry and forest products manufacturing companies.

Forestry is any activity that involves trees or the environment surrounding them. It is a common term for the activities that take place throughout the sustainable forest industry’s supply chain. Forestry activities include protecting water, plant and animal habitats, harvesting timber, planting trees and manufacturing products from harvested trees.
