Career Overview

Tree Trimmers use a variety of techniques to prune, trim and remove branches from trees. This is done for tree health, aesthetics or to make an area safer. By using advanced climbing and rigging techniques, tree trimmers cut away dead or excess branches, diseased or unsightly growth, and lower branches with slings or lines, and may also cable and bolt trees to support weak limbs. Hand saws, power saws and other trimming equipment are used while climbing with lines, using bucket lift, or from ground.
