Essential Duties:
Observes all safety requirements including wearing appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment).
Confirm counts on items being pulled for each order are as stated on the daily production list provided by the Production Planner.
When repacking, inspect each piece of lumber to make sure it is in sellable condition.
Ensure that all product is packed appropriately, using corner protectors and any other packing material as required.
Banding the product in a uniform manner.
By use of a scan gun, adjust the original quantities on the pack of lumber so the placard will reflect the new quantity on the pack.
Generate new placard by either using the scan gun or computer for the new pack shipping to the customer. Apply the new placard to the unit.
Keeps piece/wrap area and warehouse aisles clean at all times.
Other duties may be assigned as required.
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Lumber experience a plus!
