Overview
The Forest Worker Certificate Program was developed to prepare future workers for employment in one of the South’s largest industries. Employment opportunities vary greatly and include jobs in logging, forest management, timber procurement, sawmills, plywood mills, pulp and paper mills and a wide variety of companies that provide goods and services to the forest industry.
High school teachers will have the opportunity to attend Forest Worker Certificate Program trainings to become certified to teach the program to students. Teachers will be provided the resources needed to teach the course including workbooks, quizzes and powerpoints. The course and testing are offered through an online platform.
Hours of instruction: 135 block or 150 regular
Pre-requisite: AN 51 Natural Resources I
