Forest Worker Certificate Program

All students must pass the Forest Worker exam to earn the Forest Worker Credential. This exam can be accessed by teachers through the online exam request form. Contact Abigail Ridge (aridge@ncforestry.org) for more information.

The Forest Worker Certificate Program was developed to prepare future workers for employment in one of the South’s largest industries. Employment opportunities vary greatly and include jobs in logging, forest management, timber procurement, sawmills, plywood mills, pulp and paper mills and a wide variety of companies that provide goods and services to the forest industry.

This curriculum has been developed specifically for application across the South and adapted to fit North Carolina land management practices and techniques.
