Tiny Timber Crew® Series: Sam Visits a Sawmill

ForestryWorks® is proud to announce the addition of another forest industry focused children's book to its Tiny Timber Crew® series: Sam Visits a Sawmill. 

Sam Visits a Sawmill, follows main character, Sam, as she tours a sawmill, learning about the sawmilling process and different types of machines, and meets the forest products manufacturing professionals who keep the mill running along the way. This book is the third title in the Tiny Timber Crew® series following Lucy Meets a Logger, and Travis Visits a Tree Farm. 

The Tiny Timber Crew was created as a resource for ForestryWorks® staff, industry members, educators and parents to educate elementary aged children about the sustainable forest industry supply chain and the various career choices available to them in the future. The series will continue to expand and follow characters as they learn about various sectors of the forest industry. ForestryWorks® is also working to translate the series into Spanish to serve as a resource for ESL (English as a Second Language) students beginning with Lucy Conoce a un Talador.

About the Author: Stephanie Fuller, a Forest Workforce Training Institute staffer, is the daughter of a logger and fourth generation forestry professional from East Alabama.
