JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must have valid driver's license and live within a drivable distance to terminal.
- Preferred Applicant has 2 years experience with working on heavy duty equipment.
- Must be familiar with Detroit & Cummins truck engines; must be able to perform overheads as needed as well as transmission repair or replacement.
- Familiar with diagnostics and have working knowledge with diagnostic software relating to Detroit engines is a plus.
- Must be able to service and assist Fleet Manager in scheduling services for power units and trailers.
- Welding experience is a plus; must be able and willing to do heavy maintenance on trailers including but not limited to changing tires, brakes, tarps, landing gear, etc.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. minimum.
- Must be able to be on call for roadside assistance on the occasional weekend and/or night.
- Must have valid driver’s license and pass pre-employment and random drug screens.
- Pay rate is dependent on applicant’s ability and skills.
- Normal shop hours are Monday - Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
