About the Role:

As a Millwright in the Non-Durable Goods Manufacturing industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to install, maintain, and repair various mechanical systems, which are essential for the production process. You will work closely with other maintenance personnel to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions that minimize downtime. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work with precision and attention to detail. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in the non-durable goods manufacturing sector.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Certification in safety and maintenance practices.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, align, and maintain machinery and equipment according to specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize equipment performance.
  • Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include a strong mechanical aptitude, which is essential for understanding and repairing complex machinery.
