Kiln Operator

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• 1-2 years of prior forklift experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to safe work behaviors and practices, as well as all company policies and procedures.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and willing to take initiative.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Operate and maintain CDK kilns to ensure quality dried lumber, including cleaning of the kilns and maintaining housekeeping standards in the area.
• Manage lumber rotation (green and dry) and follow QC guidelines (track/file control charts, audits, etc.) for drying lumber.
• Total commitment to working safely and following all company/site rules and regulations.
