POSITION: FORESTER

The current vacancy is for one full-time position in the Lake County Forestry Department and is eligible for Benefits Package.

SALARY: $31.89 - $43.05 per hour

CLOSING DATE: Open until filled; initial review due June 20, 2025

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and a valid Driver’s license.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for managing multiple land-uses on tax forfeited land. Responsibilities may include timber sale development, forest inventory and stand development, public relations and assistance, road design and maintenance as well as accomplishing other land management activities.

WORK TEST PERIOD:

Appointee to the position must successfully complete probationary period per contract.

BACKGROUND CHECK:

Applicants selected for appointment must pass a criminal background check.

DRUG TESTING:

Applicants selected for appointment must take and pass a drug test.

PHYSICAL-MEDICAL STANDARDS:

Applicants must meet essential physical requirements of the position.
