Scalehouse Operator
Career Overview
A scalehouse operator is responsible for operating weight scales, scale computers and software data programs for data entry and record keeping. An operator also screens and records incoming loads at the scalehouse and directs vehicles entering and leaving the facility. Duties may include performing raw material quality tests to ensure compliance with industry standards. The primary function of this role is to move semi-trucks through the scale in a timely manner for in and outbound loads.
