A public relations specialist in the forest industry is responsible for managing external communications and the public perception of the industry or business's operations and their effect on the environment, economy, and communities. This job includes writing press releases or news articles, creating social and digital media content, and creating strategies to respond to positive or negative current events that involve the company or industry. Public relations specialists mainly work indoors in an office environment but will also spend some time outdoors in a manufacturing facility gathering information or content.
