Reports to: Mitch Bentley, Area Supervisor

Job Responsibilities

• Represent Koppers to sawmill owners and managers as the crosstie field and yard buyer
• Build strong relationships with area vendors to ensure a continuous supply and fair
  pricing for crossties.
• Yard management of a Koppers rail yard located in the area
  
• This will require purchasing and grading crossties, inventory control, car loading,
  unloading trucks, minor maintenance of yard equipment.
• Heavy equipment operation
• Boom Truck
• Wheel Loader
• Requires travel to and from sawmills to purchase raw materials

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED Equivalent required; BS in Forestry preferred
• 3 years’ experience required in construction, heavy equipment, or related industry; Sawmill or other forest product purchasing experience preferred
• Knowledge of railroad tie specifications preferred
• Customer or vendor-facing experience preferred
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to set priorities, analyze problems, work independently, and manage time
