Position Summary:

Our firm is in search of a lead forester to solidify our ability to supply our current services. The ideal candidate will collaborate with company leadership to help open the doors to additional opportunities in forestry and wildfire/fuel mitigation projects. This position requires an individual who has experience and interest in a wide range of forestry disciplines.

Work Location:

Redding California and the surrounding region

Key Responsibilities:

 Submit utility exemptions and inspect work performed for adherence to Forest Practice Rules.

 Manage PG&E FERC Transmission lines to adhere to the established FERC licenses.

 Hydro/Canal vegetation project oversight.

 Collaborate with company leadership to expand our Timber Harvest Plan abilities.

 Assist with the development of new projects and programs.

 Training and Coaching Jr. Foresters and field technicians

 Directing field technicians to complete a variety of project work

 Project status reporting to HCF ownership and client management

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

 Active RPF license in good standing with the board of forestry and fire protection

 Ability to operate GIS, Google Earth, Excel, and Word.

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 Excellent team management skills

 Ability to be efficient and productive while managing a flexible schedule

 Must have a valid CA driver’s license and remain eligible to operate a company vehicle.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

 Three years experience as an RPF

 Advanced GIS knowledge and experience

 Licensed Pest Control Advisor

 Qualified Applicators License

 Experience and/or education in Fuels/fire management
