• Area of work Greenville/Montgomery, AL, 60–90-mile radius; mileage will be reimbursed from
Greenville to worksite when using personal vehicle.
• Able to work independently in rural areas, self-motivated, hardworking, responsible, and
respectful.
• Will be required to interact with landowners, timber crews, contractors, and public; must have
excellent communication skills.
• Monday through Friday, Saturdays as needed (weekends respected).
• Applicant must have a valid driver’s license; must agree to background check upon hire, and drug
screen as requested.

Required Experience and Abilities:
• Avid outdoorsman
• Passionate land steward
• Experience operating and maintaining farm equipment.
• Able to work in extreme temperatures outdoors, and must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Microsoft 365 to include Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
Preferred Experience and Skills:
• Education and/or experience in forestry, agriculture, and/or wildlife management
• Experience with video equipment and video editing programs.
• Experience with social media (Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube)
• Experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment.
• GIS experience

Job Description - The Assistant Land Manager will have unique responsibilities that involve many different
types of work activities over a calendar year. Because land management strategies are seasonal the
successful candidate will have a day-to-day workflow that changes with each month of the year. Below
are expected work activities for a calendar year.
Year-Round Responsibilities

• Timber harvest management
• Contractor supervision
• Property maintenance
• Predator and nuisance animal control – trapping and thermal night hunting
• Filming content for social media and YouTube channel
• Land management plans – design and implementation
May-September Specific

• Summer food plot planting and management
• Waterfowl plantings and management
• Supervising and or executing chemical and mechanical treatments for wildlife habitat and timber
improvements.
• Site-prep prescribed burning
• Deer season prep
• Filming fishing trips and fishing (saltwater and freshwater).
Oct-Feb Specific

• Fall food plot planting and management
• Tree planting audits
• White-tailed deer population management (Doe Patrol)
• Filming hunts and hunting (everything from waterfowl – deer)
• Scouting for landowners
• Assisting landowners on hunting trips
Feb-May Specific

• Prescribed burning
• Filming turkey hunts and turkey hunting
